Federal Government Documents
Mesa Public Library is a Federal Documents Depository Library. We receive federal
publications covering all subject areas. Documents include departmental and agency annual
reports, periodicals, maps, statistics, census data, foreign policy, business
and trade information in print and electronic formats. This collection is housed
at the Main Library. Contact (480) 644-2207.
Large
Type Collections
Oversize printed text novels, magazines and
nonfiction works can be found in the Large Type Collections at the Main and Red
Mountain Branch (East Mesa) Libraries. The novels can be found in a general
collection as well as Mystery and Western genres.
Topographical Maps of
Arizona
The Main Library maintains a complete set of U.S.
Geologic Survey Topographical maps for Arizona. Red
Mountain Branch maintains a partial set. The library
does not have a map copier. Topographical maps may
be checked out. Please take maps that you would like
to check out to the Ask Here desk. A librarian must
approve the check out and provide tubes for check
out.
The check out policies for topographical maps are
as follows:
Main Library
- Topographical maps check out for ONE HOUR only.
- One map per tube.
- A fine of 20 cents per hour will be assessed for any map(s)
returned late. Fines will not exceed $6.00.
- A maximum of three maps may be checked out at any one time.
- Topographical maps must be returned to the Check Out desk.
- Maps cannot be checked out after 7:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
- Maps cannot be checked out after 4 p.m., Friday - Sunday.

Red Mountain Branch
- Topographical maps check out for 90 MINUTES only.
- One map per tube.
- A fine of 20 cents per hour will be assessed for any map(s)
returned late. Fines will not exceed $6.00.
- A maximum of three maps may be checked out at any one time.
- Topographical maps must be returned to the Check Out desk.
- Maps cannot be checked out after 7:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
- Maps cannot be checked out after 4 p.m., Friday - Sunday.
