Talking Book Program

This national program provides over 55,000 full-length books on audiotape specifically for the use of the visually and physically impaired and learning disabled. The Library provides a specialized playback unit, catalogs are provided to display the range of materials available, and requested books are mailed to the patron's home.

This program is not to be confused with "books on tape" that can be checked out of any of the  Mesa libraries by patrons holding a current library card. Patrons qualify for the Talking Book  Program if they are no longer able to read regular size print or unable to physically hold a book.

Applications are available from the Reference Desks of any of the Mesa libraries or by calling (480) 644-2737. Applications need to be signed by the patron's physician.
